Technique 1.153 Happiness
Introduction
The aim is to help you explore the 4 archetypes of happiness (ie Hedonist, Rat Racer, Nihilist and Happy Person) so that you understand how people seek happiness with the aim of encouraging current enjoyment and long-term satisfaction.
Step 1
Read the descriptions below and explore which of the 4 best describes you; realise that you could show characteristics of more than one archetype.
Step 2
Based on the description above, explain in detail which of the four archetypes resignations review most and reflects your approach to happiness, ie In which category do you currently spend most of your time ( rite your response below)?
Step 3
Explain in more detail your current happiness archetype by answering the following questions:
3.1 Based on your experience, what are the positive aspects of your archetype?
3.2 Right down several examples of when you have experienced the positive side of your archetype?
3.3 From your experience, what are the negative aspects of your archetype?
3.2 Right down several examples of when you have experienced the negative side of your archetype?
Step 4 Identify what you need to change so you get a worthwhile balance for current enjoyment and long-term satisfaction, ie move closer to the happy person archetype so that able to maintain and sustain happiness
