Comments
Number 1 risk factor is person-job-fit. This refers to the changing roles of staff that happens during change plus the increasing demands on staff. This can lead to a greater emotional load (number 2 risk factor). Generally, in change programs
"...individuals have to do too much with too little, with too few resources..."
Ryk Croukamp, 2018
Locus of control
This is about perception by an individual of their ability to exercise control over the environment.
"...those with internal locus of control believe that they have control over their environment and their personal successes, whereas those with an external locus of control view their lives as controlled by external factors such as chance or powerful others..."
J. B. Rotter as quoted by Ryk Croukamp, 2018
Those with external locus of control are more likely to experience burnout, emotional exhaustion, reduced feelings of personal accomplishment.
