Personal Development Networks

Introduction

To help a person's career develop, personal networks can be very important, ie is not what you know but who you know.

Range of types of people needed in development networks:

i) enticers (encourage you to take action and/or express your point of view)

ii) recognisers (understand and recognise your strengths and weaknesses)

iii) supporters (agree and support your point of view and/or actions)

iv) challengers (make you re-evaluate your point of view and/or actions)

v) blockers (discourage you from expressing your point of view and/or actions)

vi) demotivators (convince you of the unsuitability of your point of view and/or taking actions)
