Technique 1.89 Overturning Immunity
Introduction
A confidential questionnaire is sent to around 8 people, both inside and outside the organisation, who are well-known to the respondee. This happens on 2 occasions, eg at the start to provide a baseline and with a follow-up several months later to evaluate the progress towards improvement goal(s).
Additionally, the first survey provides a reality check on whether you have identified the most suitable goal for yourself; the second survey also provides a safeguard against self-deception. Both questionnaires provide valuable feedback.
Process
Using an example, ie the performance goal chosen is to improve delegation. Even though hands-on involvement has its advantages, it can become problematic, especially when one is in a more managerial role.
You have been chosen by the respondee to answer the below questions by ranking from 1 to 10; with 1 being 'poorly' or "not at all" and 10 being 'extremely well' or "very important".
NB This is a confidential questionnaire and your identity (including responses) will be protected. The respondee will receive a summary profile from all completed questionnaires
Your participation in the survey is appreciated and in addition to this questionnaire there will be a follow-up several months later to evaluate progress around the performance of goal.
