Definitions of the capabilities

  • Engagement = getting people throughout the organisation informed, involved, committed and motivated to act to achieve the organisation's purpose and future direction.
  • Development = developing the resources - personal, physical, technological and systems - needed to achieve the firm's future direction.
  • Performance management = proactive approach to managing the factors that measure the organisation’s performance to ensure it consistently and effectively achieves what is intended.
  • Biztech = commanding and understanding the technologies, processes and mechanisms through which the organisation produces and delivers its products and services to its market.
  • Marketing and selling = understanding the firm's market and how external events affect markets; identifying customers' needs; and selling the organisation’s goods and services effectively
